Dividends are occasional payments to shareholders from a company. It is a way for a company to share part of its earnings with shareholders.
Whenever possible, Bumped will reinvest dividends in to additional stock of the same holding. This means that rather than receiving cash, you will receive additional stock in the amount of the market value of the stock at the time of the dividend payment. You will see them in your History labeled as a “Dividend.”
Any dividends that cannot be reinvested will be processed as a cash payment to your brokerage account. This cash balance can be transferred via ACH to your linked savings or checking account.
